Projects: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital (Phase One)
PACE completed a major public art programme involving a team of fifteen artists for the newly built children’s hospital. Artists and designers made a range of work both inside and outside the 17,000 m2 hospital including coloured poles with fibre optics, light boxes, environmental graphics, wayfinding, signage, donor acknowledgement, sculptures, kinetic works, & sculptural seating.
The artists were Michael Brennand-Wood, Jim Buckley, Syd Burnett, Lucy Casson, Dalziel & Scullion, Julia Griffiths-Jones, Matthew Hilton, Andy McGregor, Lucy Richards, Georgia Russell, Nick Veasey,
Ally Wallace, Allan Watson and Jane Watt.
PACE’s role included devising the arts strategy, fundraising £370,000, consultation, curating, project management of the production and installation of the artworks, financial management, press and marketing.
