Projects: The Comedy Carpet, Blackpool As an unique celebration of Blackpool’s rich tradition of comedy, artist Gordon Young has created the Comedy Carpet; a 2,200 square metre artwork made up of jokes, songs, and catchphrases from comedians and writers of British comedy. Designed in collaboration with Why Not Associates and made of granite and high quality cast concrete, the work is installed permanently on the promenade at the foot of Blackpool Tower.
